Club Objectives
The objects of the Society are:
(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.
(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.
(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.
(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.
(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.
(f) To build a supportive and inclusive community at Curtin University that celebrates Kerala’s vibrant culture, fosters student connections, and assists new students from Kerala in adapting to university life in Australia.
(g). To promote Kerala’s unique cultural heritage through events featuring traditional festivals, music, dance, food, and
language (Malayalam).
(h). To support students arriving from Kerala by offering peer support, cultural orientation, and a welcoming environment.
(i). To create a platform for Malayali and non-Malayali students to connect, collaborate, and share cultural experiences.
(j). To collaborate with other clubs and student organisations to celebrate multiculturalism and enhance cultural
understanding on campus.
(k). To organise both formal and informal events (e.g., Onam, Vishu, movie nights, game nights) that build community
and reduce homesickness.
(l). To provide opportunities for leadership, volunteering, and skill development within the club’s activities.
